I noticed this month an abundance of fly life around the lakes, the image shows one particular dragon fly that liked my fishing bag.

The fishing for October has been improving the average catch rate was up at just over one fish per rod.

The Amount of rain during the month has brought the water levels in both lakes to near maximum. The water in lake one is cloudy however the lower areas are clearer and a total of 34 fish were caught from lake one during the month.

Lake two remains the favourite to many of the rods and the water remains clear with fish visible.

The Autumn open day was on 12th October, numbers were disappointing with only 18 members attending never the less reports are that a good time was had by all.  The weather was kind and the rain held off until a superb buffet lunch was being served by Verena in the marquee. Largest fish of the day was caught by Robin Goodfellow 3lb 11oz Rainbow using the legendary Dawson.

I would expect to see the catch rate improving during November, lets hope for a little less rain and a lot more Sun with a light breeze. Wishing you all tight lines for November and beyond.
