This month the average catch rate has dropped from last month with the end of the month proving to be more challenging. Difficult to say what the cause of this is but its probably a combination of the stock level being less the weather and C&R fish being more cautious. The average weight remains at around 3lbs, largest fish was 4.5 Rainbow from Lake two. Hope I got the name of the member correct on the report.
I know most of you are experienced fly fisherman but my tip to success is regular changing of lures and flys along with regular moving around the banks. My favourite lures at the moment, new discovery for me are size 10 Straggle Lures from Selectafly.com. They come in various patterns and I think there a good compromise between the modern lure and more traditional fly.
Tight lines to all for June.
