Fishing this month appears to have been good with average catch being up on previous months. The rain over the last few weeks has filled both lakes, lake two is now full and over flowing the new dam. Unfortunately the rain has caused the water in lake one to be cloudy, however fish are being caught especially around the middle of the month.
A mixture of fly’s have been unused in January, old favourites including the Montana and Viva being used, I noticed one of our fellow fisherman was having success with a ‘ Poodle’ I would expect a heavy weight leader is required, might give my Labrador at try.
Spring is on its way with lots of Snowdrops around the lakes. So wishing you tight lines Gentlemen and a good years fishing for 2019.
