A mixed selection of weather has had positive and negative results on the lakes and the fishing for February. The rain early on in the month has filled both lakes to overflowing, the negative for lake one is the water is very cloudy, but now clearing.

Lake two is full and the new dam built by Peter Wolfe and team has been fully tested and is doing a great job. Lake two has been very popular this month as you will see from the catch report. The lake was restocked with 120 fish this month allowing some excellent sport. Lake one still has plenty of fish, larger black and white lures on an intermediate line has worked for me.

Don’t forget to put our open day Saturday 13th of April in you diary. We all need to fully support the event, you can expect some great fishing, wine, beer and a great lunch. We are also putting together a raffle with some very nice prizes, more details in due course. So let’s hope the weather remains good and the fishing even better for March.
