I remember when we were concerned how long it would take to bring the water levels of both lakes up to full. The partial draining and the work on rebuilding the monk (overflow) on lake two and the concerns about the monk (overflow) leaking on lake one.
The December rains have certainly filled both lakes and they are now overflowing.
In the interest of safety I hope everyone had chance to read the e-mail from Peter Pearson sent on the 19th December advising care is needed when moving around the banks due to the hight water levels.
For those who were tempted to cast a line between the rain storms results were good, average catch rate being 1.4 fish per rod. Largest fish was 4lb 4oz Rainbow caught by yours truly.
The AGM is coming up on Saturday 1st February, this is your chance to meet fellow members, find out what is planned for the future and to put forward suggestions regarding the fishery.
Happy new year to all and tight lines for 2020.
